LKIN Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Gamifytech Solutions Pvt Ltd, a private limited company registered in India ("we", "us", "our"), the maker of the LKIN iPhone app. By downloading, installing, or using LKIN, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What LKIN Is

LKIN is a self-control aid. You choose apps you find distracting, and LKIN locks them using Apple's Screen Time technology (FamilyControls and ManagedSettings), which you grant through a system permission. To unlock your apps for a window you choose (5 to 1,440 minutes), you complete a short language practice session. LKIN includes six languages, spaced-repetition learning, streaks, a staged curriculum, saved words, widgets, a Live Activity countdown, an optional Face ID requirement before lock changes, an optional lock schedule, strict mode with a 24-hour cooldown, and a 24-hour "Take a break" pause.

Please understand honestly what LKIN is and is not:

• LKIN is not a parental-control product. It is designed for you to manage your own screen time, not to control someone else's device.
• LKIN is not a guaranteed blocker. A determined user can remove the locks through iOS settings. LKIN is a friction tool that helps you follow through on your own intentions — it cannot make bypassing impossible.
• Screen Time is Apple's technology. The locking is enforced by iOS, not by us. Its behavior is controlled by Apple and may change with iOS updates, which can affect how LKIN works.
• LKIN is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice or treatment.

3. Eligibility

LKIN is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it. If you are a minor in your country, you should use LKIN with the consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for making sure your use of LKIN is permitted where you live.

4. Your Account

When you first launch LKIN, an anonymous account is created automatically (via Firebase, a Google service) so your learning progress, streak, and settings can sync to the cloud and be restored if you reinstall or switch devices. You can optionally link this account using Sign in with Apple; we never receive a password. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account on your device. You can export your data, reset your progress, or permanently delete your account and cloud data at any time in Settings > Your data — no support request needed. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. LKIN Pro Subscription

LKIN offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, LKIN Pro. Pro unlocks unlimited locked apps (the free tier allows 3), level jumping and test skipping, custom unlock windows and session sizes, strict-mode extras plus 2 monthly streak freezes, all 6 languages and the full word library, 11 exclusive app icons, priority support, and removal of all ads.

• Pricing. LKIN Pro costs $39.99 per year with a 7-day free trial, or $1.99 per week. A discounted annual offer may be shown to some users. Prices vary by region and currency; the exact price is always shown before you subscribe.
• Billing by Apple. Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive your payment card details.
• Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Restoring. If you reinstall or change devices, use "Restore purchases" in the app to regain your subscription.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use LKIN only for its intended purpose: managing your own screen time and learning languages. You agree not to:

• use LKIN to control or monitor another person's device without their knowledge and consent;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app;
• copy, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the app or its content;
• interfere with or abuse the app's services, servers, or other users;
• use the app in any way that violates applicable law.

7. Your License and Our Intellectual Property

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use LKIN on your Apple devices for your own use, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store terms. The app and its content — including the word packs, curriculum, and illustrations — are our intellectual property or licensed to us. These Terms do not give you any ownership of the app or its content.

8. Third-Party Services

LKIN relies on services provided by others, and your use of those services is subject to their own terms:

• Apple — Screen Time enforcement, Sign in with Apple, Face ID (via LocalAuthentication), notifications, and all purchases and subscriptions.
• Google — Firebase for accounts, cloud sync, and analytics; AdMob for ads shown on the free tier (LKIN Pro removes all ads).
• Superwall — presentation of subscription paywalls and related events.

We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of these third-party services. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data these providers process.

9. Disclaimers

LKIN is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that app locking will work in every situation — as noted above, Screen Time behavior is controlled by Apple and locks can be removed by a determined user through iOS settings. LKIN is a tool to support your own self-control; results depend on you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use LKIN. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You can stop using LKIN at any time and delete your account and data in Settings > Your data. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you abuse the service or materially violate these Terms. On termination, your license to use the app ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue to apply.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India. If mandatory consumer-protection law in your country gives you additional rights, these Terms do not take those away.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when we add features or when the law requires it. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app before they take effect. If you continue using LKIN after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

14. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the extent permitted and the rest of the Terms will remain in full effect.
